If you’re going to travel “up north” for University, you’ll do well to consider giving the city of Leeds some serious consideration for your undergraduate or postgraduate course choices. A vibrant city that only seems to improve as the years go by, Leeds is home to a selection of education institutions offering prospective students a wealth of courses, some of which are nationally and even internationally renowned for their excellence, not to mention the weight a degree in the chosen subject would carry on a CV.

Besides offering up a football team that seems to disappoint consistently and fantastically on a regular basis, Leeds also has a small yet notable collection of education institutions. Not only is Leeds home to Leeds Beckett University, but it also houses the University of Leeds, an institution that sits in the enviable Russel Group of leading UK universities.

Every autumn tens of thousands of parents around the UK send their children off to university with high hopes and great expectations. Some send them off with a little extra cash in their pockets; others provide computers, clothing, and other university essentials; still others provide what is known as student insurance.

Don’t be fooled by how far north Leeds is: it’s a vibrant student city that’s growing in popularity each year. It’s got a selection of universities (one of these being in the coveted Russel Group) home to thousands of students, vibrant nightlife, and of course, hundreds of different pubs, bars, and clubs to cater for the multifarious drinking preferences of today’s student youth. However, you don’t want to be the group of students sitting on their phones and resorting to a Google search for “Wetherspoons nearby”, do you? Because that isn’t conducive to an optimally enjoyable night out.
